You may remember the movie from a few years ago, “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants“. The movie follows four teenage girls during a summer in which each goes through a crucial life experience. They succeed due to their loyal support of each other, symbolized by a pair of jeans (the “Traveling Pants”) that they take turns wearing.
Recently the Lyman Quilters donated a quilt to Wellspring Living | SC with the hopes that we would be able to use the quilt to help raise awareness as well as funds for the ministry.
Many women in your congregation have more than likely experienced a crucial life experience themselves. Statistics state …1 in 4 girls is sexually abused before the age of eighteen. We would love to offer the women in your church the opportunity to support each other by purchasing a ticket ($5) to win the quilt.
Our goal is for the quilt to travel to various churches and events during the summer with the drawing held on Saturday, September 18 at the Beth Moore Simulcast. It was September 2003 at the Beth Moore conference in Atlanta when God placed the vision of Wellspring Living | SC in our hearts. The traveling quilt is a fitting way to celebrate God’s faithfulness to accomplish His purpose.
